I used to visit Japan very often before the pandemic. I bought samurai swords from shops in Osaka and Tokyo but these are display swords. The police and customs are very strict when I was checking in the swords in the baggage. They let my swords go when I proved they were replicas.
Is Japan restricting the sales of real swords? I would appreciate your answer.
We have not heard any change in regulation concerning swords in Japan,
so it should be the same as before.
